Though his parents were coaches for handball teams, Roman Kislianskii was drawn to the world of tennis from the earliest parts of his childhood. Thrilled by the complexities of the competitive game and the talent required to play the difficult sport, Kislianskii picked up a tennis racket at eight and pursued playing in the competitive landscape as he grew older. His family’s natural inclination toward sports would eventually lead him to pursue his passion for tennis until his early twenties. At that point, Kislianskii would become a professional player and rank in the top 1200 players in the world.

However, when Kislianskii found that he did not have the time to pursue his competitive play, he decided he wanted to help others reach their competitive goals and athletic dreams. To do this, he pursued a degree in Physical Education in the early 2010s, where he then followed in his parent’s footsteps to become a sports coach. This transition, which might have seemed unnatural for some, seemed to come naturally for Kislainskii.

Working with tennis star Yulia Putintseva has been one of the most notable achievements in Kislainskii’s career as a coach. Putintseva became one of the top 50 players in the Women’s Tennis Association in less than five years and a 2x Grand Slam quarter-finalist in 2016 in France and 2018 in New York under his guidance. Kislainskii has also worked with Svetlana Kuznetsova, a former #2 in the Women’s Tennis Association ranking and a Grand Slam Champion. Kuznetsova famously won first place at the Australian Open Doubles in 2011.

With over a decade of coaching experience, Kislianskii has earned a reputation that many aspire to. Kislianskii has earned the prestigious Gold-Level Registered Coach Status, a rank bestowed upon the top coaches in the WTA. He is one of only 115 coaches worldwide to hold this title, an achievement that shows his commitment to helping athletes reach their full potential.
