Our worlds are colliding. Former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown is on the cast list for season 28 of Dancing With the Stars, Us Weekly confirmed on August 19. It’s no surprise that the Alabama beauty was chosen to be on the competition show because she’s been one of the most popular leading ladies in the Bachelor franchise.

At the time the exciting news broke, the competition show had only teased that the former beauty queen would be a contestant. “We’d LOVE to tell you who this is … But we’re going to make you wait a few more days … Any guesses? #DWTS,” they captioned a black-and-white photo of what appears to be Hannah’s torso on Instagram on August 18. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess received a split reaction last season when they took home the mirror ball trophy. Despite their low scores from the judges every week, the fan vote cinched them the victory. The new season kicks off on September 16 and it’s sure to be one for the books with Hannah foxtrotting her way through.

The 24-year-old is looking ahead to this new chapter in her life. It was revealed during After the Finale Rose that Hannah ended things with her fiancé, Jed Wyatt, after he lied about the extent of his relationship with his ex Haley Stevens. Since calling off her engagement, Hannah is making huge strides as an independent woman.

She left her hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to move to Los Angeles in July and has been navigating life on the West Coast. The sassy starlet recently opened up about the tough few months she’s had in a statement on Instagram. “Honest policy: I’m struggling. Life is so different. Since last August, I’ve been a pageant queen, a Bachelor contestant, and the Bachelorette,” the 24-year-old began a lengthy caption during the early hours of August 13. “I’ve been in love with multiple people, I got engaged, I broke off an engagement, and I shared it all with millions of people.”

Although she misses her friends and family, she is fully aware of how much she’s grown. “I am not complaining about this past year of adventures. The woman who has emerged would shock the mirror-image young girl from a year ago. I have so many blessings to be thankful for,” she added.

“Life is beautiful but wild. I think it’s okay to be strong — to know you’re strong — but to still feel weak simultaneously. I believe that’s when the magic happens,” the former Miss Alabama wrote. Hannah completed her post by promising, “I’m not going to struggle to disguise my weakness — I’m just gonna give over the keys to my main man Jesus and let him bless me through this ride.”

We can’t wait to see our girl kill it on DWTS!
